Hem Spotlight: EC’s Story – Magic Underwear in the Botswana Bush

EC, who turns 80 this year, recently returned from a bucket list trip that many would call once-in-a-lifetime: a camping safari through Botswana. But for EC, the journey started long before boarding a plane.
“Aging is both difficult and liberating,” she wrote. “Physical health deteriorates. Mental acuity is worth fighting for.”
After decades of surgeries and managing pelvic organ prolapse, EC found herself facing a failed repair and new challenges—including bladder leaks and a sizable bulge that made travel feel risky. But instead of backing down, EC sought help from a pelvic floor therapist. That’s when Hem Support Wear entered the picture.
“Please don’t consider my next remark crude,” she told us. “After a few days, I began referring to my new undies as MAGIC UNDERWEAR.”
Equipped with several pairs of her “MU,” EC boarded a plane, flew over 20 hours from the U.S., bounced through the rugged bush in Land Cruisers, and soaked in fiery sunsets, starry skies, and cheetah sightings. Her words say it best:
“Thanks to my MU, I was comfortable enough to do every safari ride!”
