Questions About Fit, Wear, and Support
I'm new to pelvic floor support. How do I know if this garment is right for me?
If you're experiencing symptoms like pelvic pressure, a feeling of heaviness, or bulging in the pelvic area, especially when standing or during activity, this garment may help. It’s designed to provide external support and targeted compression to the pelvic floor, which can relieve discomfort and improve daily function.
While it’s not a replacement for medical care, many people find it a helpful part of their overall support plan. If you're unsure, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider to see if external pelvic support is appropriate for your condition.
Can I wear this during pregnancy?
This garment was designed to support the pelvic floor, not the belly, so it’s not a maternity garment. That said, some pregnant people have found it helpful for pelvic heaviness or pressure, especially early in pregnancy. Once your belly expands past a certain point the garment likely won't fit well because it can only stretch up to a certain point due to the woven support panels.
As with any supportive product, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider to make sure it’s appropriate for you.
Will this help with my type or stage of prolapse?
Our garment has been worn by women with various types and stages of pelvic organ prolapse, including cystocele, rectocele, and uterine prolapse. It may help relieve symptoms like heaviness or bulging, especially when upright or active. Every body is different, so we always recommend checking with a pelvic floor provider to see if this type of external support is a good fit for your needs.
Can I wear this over underwear?
Yes! While the garment is designed to be worn as underwear, many people choose to wear it over a pair of thin, snug-fitting briefs. This can make laundering easier and is totally a matter of personal preference.
What makes this garment different from shapewear or a brace?
Unlike shapewear or medical braces, Hem Support Wear is designed to gently lift rather than squeeze or compress. Our patented pelvic floor support hammock targets the area where support is needed most—helping relieve heaviness and pressure without restricting your movement or changing your shape.
- No tight compression, no squeezed waist, and no effort to “slim” your body.
- No bulky straps, Velcro, or stiff inserts; just a soft, flexible garment designed for daily wear.
- You can wear it under most clothes, as regular underwear or over your own underwear, and feel supported throughout your day.
This makes Hem Support Wear a comfortable, discreet alternative that fits seamlessly into your everyday routine.
